What is a ScreenTip in PowerPoint?

ScreenTips are small windows that showcase descriptive text when the user rests the pointer on command or control. Enhanced ScreenTips are much larger windows that display further descriptive text than a ScreenTip and provide a link to a help article.

How to show or hide Enhanced ScreenTips in PowerPoint

Follow the steps below to show or hide enhanced ScreenTips. Launch PowerPoint. Click the File tab. Click Options on the backstage view. A PowerPoint Options dialog box will appear.

On the General tab, under the User interface options section, click the ScreenTip drop-down arrow and choose any one of the settings:

To show the ScreenTip, select the option ‘ Show feature description in ScreenTips.’To hide the ScreenTip, select the option ‘Don’t show ScreenTips.’If you wish not to show descriptions in your ScreenTips, select the option  ‘Don’t show feature descriptions in ScreenTips.’

Depending on your selection, click OK.
